9 MAATIS 3 STEP
MAATI’S OMEGA THREE-STEP: Researching the Omega-3 story I have discovered that concentrating on only one aspect of the body (the brain) using the DHA in fish oil has deflected me from realising the critical balancing function of EPA. And we should really be using the benefits of this incredibly versatile nutrient in a cost effective way. Step 1. For your skin. You still need the simple molecules of the Omega-3 oils and a good source is flax seed as a high-quality cold-pressed oil. Store this in the fridge and take one tablespoon (15 ml) a day and see how your skin problems, thirst, and hair improve. (Cost is about R80.00 for 500 ml from your health food store.) Step 2. For your digestion: The best way to stay regular is to have maximum one tablespoon (15 ml) of crushed flax seed every day sprinkled over your food. No more constipation and it helps your system flush out most of the toxins. (Cost is about R24.99 for 500 gm.) Step 3. For your brain and anti-inflammation:
For this you need ultra-refined fish oil containing high concentration pollution-free Omega-3 oils. My preferred brand is The Real Thing (TRT) and I have had good reports from users including ourselves. Their reasonable price is also a benefit. One teaspoon of TRT pharmaceutical grade oil contains DHA (900 mg) and EPA (600 mg), total 1 500 mg. My price is R120.00 for 200 ml. Minimum daily dose is a teaspoon (5 ml) so you can get 40 teaspoons from a bottle. For those who do not want to sip the oil “neat” TRT supply capsules. Each capsule contains 400mg EPA and 300mg DHA, total 700mg. My price for 60 capsules is R120.00.
